Newtowncunningham mother Vanessa Donohoe remains in the thoughts and prayers of the community as she continues to undergo medical treatment in Spain.

Donations continue to flow in for the mother-of-three who took ill on a family holiday at the beginning of June.

Ahead of a fundraising concert tonight (12th July), well-wishers have received a positive update on Vanessa’s health. Singer Martin Orr told Facebook followers last night that Vanessa has improved a small bit but still has a long journey ahead.

Orr has organised a number of concerts for Vanessa’s Recovery Fund. An all-star gig in The Orchard Inn last week raised a fantastic  €1,681.33. A second Country Concert takes place tonight (Thursday 12th July) in the Glencar Inn, Letterkenny.

Everyone is invited to come and enjoy music from a line-up of a brilliant mix of singers and musicians, with all proceeds going towards Vanessa’s medical costs and assistance for her family.

The popular young woman remains seriously ill in a Barcelona hospital following several major brain surgeries. While her family stay by her side, the community back home is being asked to keep her in their prayers.
