Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council Cllr. Seamus O’Domhnaill congratulates Donegal man Jason Black on his outstanding achievement of reaching the summit of K2 on Sunday 22 July 2018.

He said he was speaking on behalf of the elected members, management and staff of Donegal County Council.

“I am absolutely thrilled for Jason, his family and his team. This is a remarkable achievement and something that has taken an unbelievable level of endurance and commitment. K2 is the world’s second highest summit and is regarded as being even more dangerous than Everest.

“This was Jason’s second attempt to reach the K2 summit and this is a clear reflection of the man that he is and his commitment to succeed.

“I wish Jason and his team a safe and successful descent and I look forward to seeing him back home in Donegal very soon.”
