Tyrone full-back McNamee a major doubt for Donegal game

Tyrone full-back Ronan McNamee has emerged as an injury doubt for their game against Donegal in two weeks’ time.

McNamee was taken off late in the first half of Tyrone’s loss to Dublin on Saturday night in Omagh.

Tyrone are already missing Cathal McCarron through the knee injury that saw him carted off the previous week in the game against Roscommon.

“A huge loss to us, but that’s what squads are about,” Tyrone manager Mickey Harte said.

“Nobody goes through a season without injuries and we have been a wee bit unfortunate this season.

“Ronan has been a solid rock for us. The medical people saw that he wasn’t able to go on with the game. It is unfortunate. He was playing very well for us.”
