Two ambitious students from NUI Galway are preparing to host a much-anticipated Enterprise Fair in their hometown this weekend.

The Dungloe Enterprise Fair will take place on July 28th from 12-6pm in the Waterfront Hotel.

The event has been organised by Caolán Ward and Liane Greene, who have set out to promote the business potential in their local area. They are aiming to attract attendees of the Mary from Dungloe Festival and showcase the all the ongoing enterprise activity to the diaspora.

The event will feature many exhibition stands from local businesses, along with discussion panels featuring representatives from Randox, Optum, Bord Fáilte, Udaras, ETB, gTeic, Credit Unions, Bank of Ireland, AIB and Donegal Airport and many more.

The students’ display of initiative has impressed many people in Dungloe. “The whole town is talking about these two students. They have big futures ahead,” said one local person.

Through their college experience, Caolan and Liane wanted to highlight the job opportunities which exist in West Donegal and to bring together businesspeople to network and find out what supports are available.

The event has received much endorsement from local personalities, business leaders and politicians. Optum CEO Padraig Monaghan, Mark Sharkey CEO of The Cope Dungloe, and representatives from Randox will all be in attendance.

For people looking to further their careers, boost their business and tap into new potential, this is an event not to be missed.
