Letterkenny Gaels welcomed Pettigo to The Glebe for their final league game of the 2018 All County League season on Saturday evening.

Letterkenny Gaels 5-11 Pettigo 1-11

The Gaels hit five goals including a brace of penalties in each half to overcome a hard working Pettigo side in windy Páirc na nGael.

The home team playing against the elements in the first half succeeded in keeping the scores level at half time, 1-5 apiece. Gaels goal coming from a converted penalty from Mark Hunter while the visitors goal coming from Darren Johnston.

Pettigo’s excellent full forward Paul Robinson who scored eight points on the night kept them in touch until a second Hunter penalty and two well taken goals from Shay Doherty, Joe Doherty and Anthony Diver put the home team in a comfortable winning position in the end.
