Donegal’s secrets are being revealed and not before time. If it’s beautiful landscapes you are after it certainly holds many trump cards. Event organisers Killary Gaelforce have long believed this to be the case. Eight years ago they brought the Gaelforce North Adventure race to Donegal, and it has been growing in popularity every year since.

There are a lot of adventure races around Ireland but this race holds something special – taking runners down the Bridle path in the tranquillity of the Glenveagh National Park to the majestic heights of Mount Errigal and finishing on the shores of Bunbeg.

Participants get to feel what Donegal is about – from its raw and rugged extremities to its gentle and genuine heart.

The race has a choice of two distances – 62km or 43km, of running, cycling and kayaking. There are also duathlon and relay options.

Gaelforce North takes place on the 22nd of September 2018, a gorgeous time of year as the landscape starts to take on its Autumnal palette.

The route has been changed for 2018. The new route is especially suited to road bike enthusiasts as more and more people crave the open road.

This event is a great way to experience all that is magical about Donegal. If you are interested in taking part you can find out more on www.gaelforceevents.com
