Minister Joe McHugh has today welcomed grants worth more than €36,000 for community environmental projects across Donegal.
Thirty-five not for profit groups are set to benefit from this funding to support local projects related to the environment and sustainability.
In welcoming the €36,234 funding total for Donegal groups and individuals, Minister McHugh said the grants are all about making small changes at a local level.
Mr McHugh said: “It’s great to see support for groups like the Glenties Men’s Sheds, Colm Grant’s ambitious plan to plant 1,000 trees in Buncrana and South Inishowen, community gardens in places like Moville, Ardara and Tearmann, rainwater harvesting in Castlefin, school workshops, Raphoe Tidy Towns and Culdaff Sea Angling Club’s tours of the sea.
