It’s tight at the top as North West Women’s Super League enters the final furlong

With just four series of games to go, things have really tightened up at the top of the North West Women’s Super League.

Tonight, leaders Illies Celtic – who overtook Bonagee United at the summit – face Inishowen rivals Greencastle at Stranaclea, where a win for John Doherty’s team would put them six ahead of the Chapel Lane outfit.

Greencastle, on the other hand, could draw level with Illies if they win this one.

There is a tasty contest at Dry Arch Park, where Bonagee United welcome Fanad United.

These sides are joint second in the League, following Fanad’s 4-2 win over Greencastle and Bonagee’s 2-0 defeat at Illies.

In their previous meeting, Bonagee and Fanad played out what was a highly-entertaining scoreless draw and there promises to be little between them again.

Elsewhere, Carndonagh will host Moville Celtic.

With Clonmany Shamrocks having confirmed their withdrawal from the League, Lagan Harps have no game this evening.

Kick-offs are at 7.30pm.
