Termon GAA and Ladies Gaelic Football Club hosted a magnificent festival of football this morning in memory of their U12 player Karen McGlynn, daughter of club stalwarts Harry and Maura McGlynn.

Previous champions St Eunan’s and St Michael’s attended, along with finalists on the day Gaoth Dobhair.

The teams were all evenly matched and although the games were played in great spirit they were fiercely competitive with winners having to fight hard to come away with points.
In the end it came down to the eagerly awaited Gaoth Dobhair Vs Termon fixture.

Kit Crowley’s Gaoth Dobhair pulled away early on in the game, quickly racking up 2goals and a point and their goalkeeper pulled off a few brilliant saves to deny Termon’s Sarah McFadden.
However Termon’s Siobhan Cameron, who was outstanding all day, soon replied with a point and Sarah McFadden found the net twice to level the scoring.

Gaoth Dobhair pulled ahead again by a goal through forward Neassa but Amanda and Niamh Bonnar answered with scores to help Termon claim the cup by the narrowest of margins.
Termon’s Kieran Gallagher thanked all teams for coming and on the great display of football and asked Harry McGlynn to present the cup to Termon’s captain Niamh Bonnar.
