Rachael Darragh has two quarter-finals today in the Bulgarian International Series in Sofia.

The Raphoe woman, who competed at the Commonwealth Games earlier this year in Australia, is in quarter-final action in the women’s singles and the mixed doubles.

In the women’s singles, Darragh will face Bulgaria’s Natalia Perminova, the fifth seed in the tournament.

Yesterday, Darragh defeated Sweden’s Anastasiya Prozorova 21-14 21-12 and Bulgarian Anastasiia Pustinskaia 21-19 10-21 21-15 to advance to the last eight.

In the mixed doubles, Darragh and Paul Reynolds will be up against Max Flynn and Hope Warner from England.

They had a fine 21-19 21-19 win over France pair Maxime Briot and Sharone Bauer yesterday.

Darragh and Sara Boyle lost to Croatia’s Katarina Galenic and Inga Sadaic in the women’s doubles, while Joshua Magee was beaten by Zvonimir Durkinjak from Croatia 25-23 21-14 in the men’s singles and, alongside Paul Reynolds, he lost in the men’s doubles to Chen You Jun and Lin Bing-Wei 21-12 21-18.
