Glenfin get survival boost with much-needed win over Naomh Muire

Glenfin gave their Division 2 survival hopes a boost with a home win against the already-relegated Naomh Muire.

Glenfin 2-18 Naomh Muire 1-5

The An Gaeltacht Lár men had 16 points to spare by the end.

Although Harry Harden netted a goal, it was Glenfin who led 0-9 to 1-2 at half-time.

Glenfin’s opening goal had Frank McGlynn at the hub as the Donegal ace teed up Ciaran Brady to net.

Matthew McGinley completed the rout late in the game.

Glenfin had the different scorers on the day.

Scorers – Glenfin: Ciaran Brady, Matthew McGinley 1-2 each, Stephen Carr, Jason Morrow 0-3 each, Owen Donnellan, Gary Dorrian 0-2 each, Stephen Ward, Paddy O’Connor, Andrew Walsh, Ross Marley 0-1 each.

Naomh Muire: Harry Harden 1-2, Shaun ‘Yank’ Boyle, Daniel Devlin, Tom McHugh 0-1 each.
