Bernard McGeehan’s expression said it all as the pride beamed from the Sean MacCumhaills manager after seeing his side make their return to Division 1.
A 3-16 to 1-13 win over St Naul’s confirmed promotion for the Twin Towns side.

The last time MacCumhaills played in the top flight, in 2003, McGeehan lined out for the Finnsiders.
“It’s been too long,” he said.
“I’m delighted for that bunch of lads. We set down a plan and they executed it to the letter of the law. They put their lives on hold this year.
“There were no punches pulled. Anything less than promotion was going to be a failure. We didn’t talk about championship – it was all about the League.”
Goals from Brian Lafferty, Aaron Kelly and Gavin Gallagher were the big scores today while Martin and Steven O’Reilly helped to lead the way.
McGeehan added: “It’s absolutely massive for us. It will bring people closer to the club. Boys playing at under-14 now will see that there is something worth going after.”
