There is still a lot to play for in the All-County Football League as the Leagues near completion.
Only Downings, in Division 4, have wrapped up honours so far, although Gaoth Dobhair have one hand on the Division 1 title after a win over Glenswilly last night.
Here’s how the Leagues are shaping up …
Division 1
Gaoth Dobhair overcame Glenswilly 2-15 to 0-12 last night to move to within one win of the Division 1 title. St Eunan’s still have a chance, but it looks – with only two games remaining – to be Gaoth Dobhair’s as the Magheragallon men are on the verge of a first League title since 2006.
At the other end of the standings, Dungloe and Aodh Ruadh are in the drop positions at the moment and are staring at a mammoth cliff.
Division 2
Sean MacCumhaills and Bundoran secured promotion to the top flight last weekend with wins away to St Naul’s and Malin respectively.
All that’s left to be determined at the top end of the standings is who wins the Division 2 title. Bundoran have a game less played and appear to be the favourites to win the Division.
At the other end, Naomh Muire have been relegated, while the other relegation spot is a mystery at the minute, although Four Masters have a big job, given they have a game less played than Glenfin, to haul themselves out of trouble.
Division 3
The League is nearing its completion, but good luck to anyone trying to attempt predictions at the upper end of Division 3.
Killybegs, Naomh Brid and Buncrana are all locked on 23 points at the moment, with Naomh Brid having a game in hand on the other two.
It looks now like Na Rossa and Moville will be demoted to Division 4.
Division 4
Division 4 has been wrapped up and Downings and Naomh Colmcille have won promotion. Downings won the Division having won all of their games with Naomh Colmcille edging Urris for the other promotion spot.
