The people of Donegal have started to get their teeth into A Taste of Donegal Food Festival.

The three-day event started in the past couple of hours and already hundreds of people from Cork to Donegal are filtering through the doors.

Over the weekend more than 130 exhibitors will display their wares in every variety of food and drink imaginable.

And if you don’t believe us, simply take a look at this amazing video as the three day event kicks off.

The event is expected to draw more than 30,000 food fans to Donegal Town for a very special celebratory year.

The North West’s largest food and drink event is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2018, which means an even bigger portion of food and drink offerings, entertainment and demos are on the menu this weekend.

Friends and families will be flocking to the iconic tented village on the Donegal Pier from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th August 2018 for the festival, which kicks off with a stunning fireworks display on Friday evening at 10pm.

For the first time, Donegal Daily will be at the festival all weekend to bring you video coverage from events. Make sure to follow www.facebook.com/donegaldaily for online interviews and demos every day!

Opening Times:
Friday 24th – 4pm to 10pm
Saturday 25th – 11am to 7pm
Sunday 26th – 11am to 7pm

New additions at A Taste of Donegal this year include a chill-out zone for ‘A Taste of Donegal Summer’, with novelty seating for lounging and photo opportunities.

Celebrity Chefs from all over Ireland are preparing to cook up a storm in expert cooking demonstrations, while local food producers will be sharing their stories and plenty of top dishes and samples for visitors.
