The tenth anniversary of A Taste of Donegal Food Festival exploded with a huge bang with a spectacular fireworks display tonight.

Thousands of people lined The Quay in Donegal Town as spectacular colours lit up the skyline over Donegal Town.

The fireworks marked an amazing opening night for the event which is expected to bring in crowds of more than 25,000.

The festival continues on Saturday and Sunday with food demonstrations, music and a host of top chefs.
