39 years after he first played Championship football for the club, Declan Bonner was in the thick of it tonight as Na Rossa bagged their first win of the season.

Heavily beaten seven days ago by Letterkenny Gaels, Na Rossa played as if affronted by suggestions that they would limp out of the Junior A Championship.
It was something of a historic and nostalgic night as this was likely the last Championship game to be played in Dooey as Na Rossa hope to be moved in to their new development for the 2019 campaign.
Donegal senior manager Bonner, who celebrated his 53rd birthday just a couple of weeks ago, was in goal tonight as they won for the first time in 2018.
In 1979, the then flame-haired 14-year-old broke onto the Na Rossa senior team and is still lining out for his home club, of which he is also the Chairman these days.
Na Rossa led 0-10 to 0-7 with the returning John Paul McCready hitting a couple of points.
They were rocked, however, when Mark McLaughlin got in for an Urris goal in the closing stages to level the scoring.
However, Christian Bonner’s fourth point of the evening and another score from Oran Molloy, also back in the side having missed last weekend’s game, steered Na Rossa to a timely win.
Eugene Molloy, Owen Gallagher and Aidan McHugh were also among the Na Rossa point scorers.
