Donegal-based businessman Peter Casey enters Presidential race

Entreprenuer and Dragons’ Den investor Peter Casey has announced today that he is seeking a presidential nomination. 

Casey is the third member of the Dragons’ Den TV show panel to seek a candidacy for the Presidential Elections which take place on October 26th. Sean Gallagher and Gavin Duffy have also announced their bids for The Áras.

Casey is originally from Derry and now splits his time between Atlanta and Greencastle in Donegal. He is the founder and CEO of the global executive search company, Claddagh Resources. The recruitment firm was established in Georgia, while its EU headquarters is based in Buncrana.

Casey has previously expressed an interest in contesting the General Election as an Independent in Donegal and in running for the Seanad.
