Donegal star Eoghan Bán Gallagher was tonight named on the Sunday Game Team of the Year.
The Sunday Game panel, who tonight included the Donegal captain Michael Murphy, selected their Team of 2018, after their analysis of Dublin’s All-Ireland final win over Tyrone.
Killybegs man Gallagher made the cut at corner-back after a superb year for Donegal.
Gallagher netted a goal in the 2-18 to 0-12 win over Fermanagh in the Ulster final.
“He had a fantastic season,” fomer Tyrone ace Sean Cavanagh said.
The selection included eight players from All-Ireland champions Dublin, two each from Tyrone and Monaghan and one apiece form Donegal, Kerry and Galway.
Gallagher is expected to be in the running for an All-Star award later in the year.
