Driver sought after stop/go sign operator hurt in Ballybofey

The operator of a ‘stop/go’ sign was hospitalised after a car allegedly drove over his feet in Ballybofey.

The incident happened on the Donegal Road on Friday evening last.

A car drove over the traffic worker’s feet and failed to stop.

However, it is understood the identity of the car was noted at the scene.

The Gardai were later informed and the incident is being investigated.

The worker was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment but was later discharged.
