Listen: Martin Regan content as Naomh Conaill players give him food for thought

Martin Regan says his experienced campaigners are helping to give him a selection headache at Naomh Conaill.

The Glenties men, 2017’s beaten finalists, had a landslide win over Dungloe this evening to kick-start their SFC bid.

Even without Brendan McDyer and Eoghan McGettigan, Naomh Conaill had little trouble for a 4-16 to 0-6 win.

“There is huge competition for places,” Regan said.

“It’s a nice headache to have.

“The older boys are leading things. They’re such an example to the young boys coming through.”

Two goals inside the opening four minutes gave Naomh Conaill a dream start – and it was plain sailing for Regan’s men.

He said:  “We got the two goals early and they gave us a good platform. We talked during the week about not letting Dungloe get confidence. We put the game to bed early.”
