Amber Barrett toasts League Cup glory with Peamount

Amber Barrett was celebrating last night as Peamount United defeated Wexford Youths in the WNL League Cup final.

Barrett’s Peamount came from behind to defeat Wexford 2-1 at Ferrycarrig Park.

Wexford took the lead when Lauren Dwyer netted.

However, Peamount levelled through Aine O’Gorman and Megan Smyth-Lynch fired home the winner eight  minutes from the end. 

Milford woman Barrett was heavily involved for the Peas throughout the game and came close to registering herself on a couple of occasions.
