Champions Kilcar are back in the quarter-finals of the Donegal senior football championship after a dominant win over Milford in Towney.

Kilcar 2-15 Milford 2-6

Andrew McClean and Ciaran McGinley scored the goals for Barry Doherty’s men as they saw off Milford, who saw Cathal McGettigan find the net from two penalties.

McGettigan found the net midway through the first half after Eamonn McGinley, Kilcar’s goalkeeper, fouled Kane Barrett.

But Kilcar hit back and Ciaran McGinley fed Andrew McClean for a goal.

McGettigan’s second penalty goal energised the visitors, but Kilcar were five points up at half-time and both teams were down to 14 men for the second half with Stephen McBrearty and Paddy Peoples red carded following a skirmish.

Kilcar broke from the traps quickly in the second half with Eoin McHugh’s brace stretching the lead.

Nine minutes form the end, Mark McHugh released Ciaran McGinley and he powered to the net.
