Mulroy Academy U12s girls remained unbeaten in Sligo on Sunday as they won the FAI Northwest Regional Shield.

Mulroy had comprehensive wins over Calry Bohemians and Moville Celtic leaving them on top of their group.

This led them to face Buncrana Hearts in the Shield final.

Unlike the Ulster Cup last weekend which went to sudden death penalties, the Mulroy girls wasted no time, seeing off Buncrana with a decisive 4-2 victory.

The girls’ journey continues on the 6th October at the AUL Complex in  Dublin where they will compete in the FAI All-Ireland competition.

Mulroy Academy: Hannah Gallagher, Leah McLoughlin, Meabh McAteer, Kate McAdoo, Eva Blaney, Megan McLoughlin, Emma McGrenaghan, Rachel Friel, Clodagh Heron, Hannah Gibbons, Aoife Carr, Aoife McMullen, Olivia Friel, Aine McElwaine
