Chloe and Sam Magee rocked the world number 7 pair this morning at the Victor China Open before bowing out.

The Raphoe brother-sister pair won the first set against England’s Chris Adcock and Gabrielle Adcock 21-17.

The Magees had their opponents on the rack after that opening set.

However, the Adcocks hit back and won the second set 21-8. In the third and decisive set, the English duo won 21-8 to advance.

The defending European champions showed their worth but for the Magees it was another big experience against one of the world’s leading pairs.

The China Open, held at the Olympic Sports Centre Xincheng Gymnasium in Changzhou carries a prize pot of $1 million.

Next up for the Raphoe siblings is the Danish Open.
