The Still Waiting Health Campaign is hosting a public meeting tomorrow to demand change in the health service.

People are invited to attend the event and share their views ahead of the government Budget 2019.

The meeting follows a day when 42 people were waiting on trolleys at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Still Waiting campaigner Cyril Brennan says the crisis is escalating. He said: “On the 9th of October the government will deliver a budget and without meaningful investment in the health service the trolley crisis will continue.

“Recent announcements that the capital investment in the new cancer unit in Galway has been delayed will have a serious impact on the people who are travelling from Donegal.”

These and other issues in the HSE will be explored at the meeting, taking place in the Mount Errigal Hotel on Thursday 20th September at 7.30pm.

Guest speakers include Richy Carrothers from Fórsa Trade Union, Leanne Brennan C. A. R.E for Physiologists, TD Thomas Pringle and Senator Pádraig MacLochlainn.
