Power has been restored to the more than 1,000 homes, farms and businesses in Donegal that had outages yesterday during Storm Ali.

At the height of the storm yesterday afternoon, 186,000 ESB customers were impacted. Crews worked through the afternoon and night to restore power to 147,000 properties, the remaining 39,000 customers are expected to have supplies restored today.

ESB Networks are warning the public that there are 1,600 faults on the networks, meaning that there is extensive damage with low hanging and fallen lines nationwide.

ESB Networks urges the public to remain vigilant, stay clear and to ring 1850 372 999 if they spot a low or fallen ESB line. They are a risk to life.
