Gavin Cullen says freshness has been key as Cockhill Celtic embark on yet another Four Lanterns Ulster Senior League campaign.

Cockhill have set the bar and continuously raised it of late, winning the League and League Cup double in each of the last six seasons.

Cullen and company have not rested on their laurels with significant changes to their personnel over the summer months, since defeating Letterkenny Roves 2-0 in June in a play-off to retain their League crown.

“The hunger is still there,” Cullen said.

“Training has been decent. I see the hunger in the players. They still want to achieve.

“Last year was a big test for the group and we passed it with flying colours in the end.It was probably as good a League to win as the first one.”
