130 take part in U13 Donegal Ladies Development Blitz at Convoy

Day One of the U13 Development County Blitz was held on Sunday 23rd of September in the Donegal Training Centre, Convoy.

Over 130 girls from five regions in Donegal (Inishowen , North West, Swilly, South West, West/Finn Valley ).

There was great talent on show. 

Day Two of the County Development Blitz will take place on Sunday 30th of September in Donegal Training Centre, Convoy at 10am sharp. 

The girls selected will train for 2 weeks starting on Sunday 7th of October in preparation for Ulster Ladies Development Blitz. 50 will be selected from Sunday for the Ulster blitz and they will represent Donegal in Cookstown on 20th October.

“There is great talent among the young girls in Donegal, who want to play Gaelic football,” Donegal LGFA Development coaches said.

“It starts here from under-13 level. They all want to be the next Niamh Hegarty or the next Karen Guthrie. There is great work going on in our clubs at the moment.”
