West Donegal may not be the typical setting for a high-octane thriller, but the Dungloe community has brought some true blockbuster excitement to the town.

Some of Dungloe’s most famous faces star in ‘Destination: Dungloe‘ – an impressive film campaign showcasing the business spirit of the community.

Dungloe Mary Caroline O’Donnell wows as a skilled spy who gives Hollywood action stars a run for their money. Many familiar local characters appear in the cast, including Mark Sharkey, CEO of the Cope as the villain and Kincasslagh’s own Daniel O’Donnell as Caroline’s motivational mentor.

The film, produced by Re-Act Productions, was shot on behalf of the Dungloe Community Network for the Bank of Ireland National Enterprise Awards.

The five-minute thriller is a fast-paced adventure through the best of the town’s business sector, landscape and social scene. The story, snappy editing and community inclusion have resulted in a spectacular showcase of the best of Dungloe. Talk about enterprising!
