NAOMH CONAILL are in the semi-finals of the Donegal Senior B Football Championship thanks to a comfortable win in the end against Ardara in Donegal town this afternoon.

Naomh Conaill 1-15 Ardara 0-8

It was Naomh Conaill who took the trophy home last year and the team from Glenties are very much in the hunt again as they join St Eunan’s, MacCumhaill’s and Kilcar in the semi-final draw.

At half-time, Naomh Conaill were 0-5 to 0-3 in front but a goal in the third quarter from Cian Doherty laid the platform. Both Charlie and Paul McGuiness impressed, with five and four points respectively.

Ardara’s top score was Niall McCrossan with four points.

Naomh Conaill scorers:Charlie McGuinness (0-5, 4f), Paul McGuinness (0-4), Cian Doherty (1-0), Leon Thomspon and Danny Gallagher (0-2), Odhran Doherty and Jamie McHugh (0-1)

Ardara:Niall McCrossan (0-4), Aaron Bennett (0-2), Emmett Byrne and Kyle Gallagher (0-1)
