Donegal County Council has officially taken charge of three housing estates in Ballybofey and Stranorlar.
Admiran in Stranorlar, Blue Cedars Estate in Ballybofey and Caislean Court in Castlefin have today been ‘taken in charge’ by the local authority.
This procedure means that the council will now be responsible for services and facilitating maintenance works on the developments. This will include service roads in the estates (not including private driveways).
Cathaoirleach of the Stranorlar MD Cllr Patrick McGowan has welcomed the taking in charge of these estates in the Stranorlar MD area.
“The Council will be responsible for roads and storm drains etc in these estates from today but not grass cutting as is the case in other estates,” said Cllr McGowan
