LYIT student Cathal Devine took first place for the RIAI Rising Star Award in Architectural Technology at the annual RIAI Student Awards.
The award recognises an individual third year student of Architectural Technology who exemplifies academic excellence and dedication to the field of Architectural Technology in the national context of Architectural Technologists’ education.
With a prize fund of €5000, the award recognises an individual third year student of Architectural Technology who exemplifies academic excellence and dedication to the field of Architectural Technology in the national context of Architectural Technologists’ education.
The RIAI also announced the three other RIAI Student Award winners at the RIAI Annual Conference which took place on October 5 and October 6.
The first prize winners were presented on stage by David Browne, RIAI President, accompanied by a representative of each of the award sponsors, on Day 2 of the RIAI Annual Conference on Saturday 6 October.
Stephen Gotting and Poppy Van Dijk, who both attend University College Dublin (UCD), and Eoin Carney, Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), all took first place prizes in their respective categories.
