Two tasty takeaways in Letterkenny have scooped top prizes in the Just Eat Ireland National Takeaway Awards.

Burrito Loco and Bamboo Court were the local winners in last night’s awards with two accolades each.

Burrito Loco, the popular street food outlet on the Port Road, won Best Takeaway Ulster and Best Takeaway Mexican. The team previously held the title of Best Takeaway Ireland 2017.

Bamboo Court at Station Roundabout won Best Takeaway Chinese and Best Spice Bag.

The Spice Bag was named as Ireland’s Favourite Dish at the awards, so to have the best in Ireland is an achievement that Bamboo Court can proudly boast about during the year.

The National Takeaway Awards took place in Number 22, Dublin, hosted by TV presenter Cassie Stokes and singer/songwriter Jake Carter.

As always, the diversity of choice all around Ireland’s takeaway sector saw winners emerge from every corner of the country with Firehouse Pizza, Ballymun taking home the spoils on the night. The pizza restaurant was named the Best Takeaway Ireland as well as Best Takeaway Dublin and Best Takeaway Pizza.

There were 22 categories this year with the new additions of Best Takeaway Vegetarian and Best Takeaway Middle Eastern, won by Dublin eateries Umi Falafel, Dame Street and Zaytoon, Camden Street respectively.
