It’s that time of the week again – we have SIX nominees in our latest Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub Sports Person of the Week poll, in association with O’Reilly’s Sportswear.
Each weekly award winner will receive a kitbag, a jersey and a half-zip, supplied by O’Reilly’s.
The award winner will be chosen via a public vote from a shortlist selected by our panel.
O’Reilly’s Sportswear was founded in 2017 by well-known Twin Towns sporting brothers Steven and Martin O’Reilly.

Nathan Boyle (Finn Harps)
Finn Harps overcame Drogheda United 2-0 on Friday night to confirm their place in a promotion-relegation play-off final next week against Limerick. Boyle netted the killer second goal having set up the opening goal for John Kavanagh. Drogheda were unable to handle Boyle’s pace and he proved his worth with a fine display.
Niall Hannigan (St Eunan’s)
St Eunan’s won their sixth Senior B title on Sunday as they defeated Naomh Conaill 3-13 to 0-10 in the curtain-raiser at Sean MacCumhaill Park. David O’Herlihy’s team ran in three goals in the last 13 minutes.
Niall Hannigan netted one of those goals and he ended the afternoon with 1-6 to his name.
Richard Kerr (Kilmacrennan)
Kilmacrennan motorcyclist Richard Kerr ended his debut season in the Supersport class with a double podium at the International Sunflower trophy races held at Bishopscourt at the weekend.
Kerr finished second in race one at the Co Down venue and came home in third in race two to bring down the curtain on a fine first campaign.
Jarlath Leonard (Pettigo)
Pettigo, for the first time since 1953, were celebrating Championship success on Sunday as they defeated Red Hughs 1-11 to 2-6 in Donegal town.
They had to do it the hard way, coming from 2-5 to 0-5 behind at half-time, to defeat Red Hughs in the Junior B final replay. Leonard was immense for the Pettigo men, scoring two points in a magnificent display.
Odhrán Mac Niallais (Gaoth Dobhair)
As Gaoth Dobhair bridged a 12-year gap to win the Donegal SFC, thanks to a 0-17 to 1-7 win over Naomh Conaill on Sunday, Odhrán Mac Niallais was, once again, at his finest.
Mac Niallais posted eight points and was named as the Peadar McGeehin Man of the Match.
It was a performance fitting of the stage and it meant that Gaoth Dobhair collected their 15th title.
Jason Quigley (Ballybofey)
On Thursday night, at the Fantasy Springs Resort in Indio, California, Jason Quigley defeated Freddy Hernandez to retain his NABF middleweight title. Quigley took the win via a unanimous decision following a 10-round war with veteran Hernandez. Quigley showed his class in the early rounds and, after the fight became a brawl in the middle rounds, the Ballybofey man upped the ante again to claim a win that extends his unbeaten record to 15 professional fights.
