Gardai and the emergency services are attending the scene of an accident on the outskirts of Letterkenny which happened just before 1pm.
It appears that a car left the road and is on its side close to Conwal Graveyard on the Glenties Road.
A number of cars have stopped and come to the driver’s aid.
It is not known if the woman is seriously injured.
Gardai have advised people to take care if using the road.
