Listen: Progress and development the aims for David O’Herlihy at St Eunan’s

David O’Herlihy has already guided St Eunan’s to one Championship this year and hopes his U21s can knot black and amber ribbons on that crown too.

O’Herlihy (pictured above during his playing days for St Eunan’s) was manager of the St Eunan’s side that defeated Naomh Conaill in the Senior B final and is at the helm of the club’s under-21s, who have qualified for the U21 semi-finals, where they’ll face Killybegs this weekend.

A lot of the players have crossed between the two squads and after an 18-point hammering of St Michael’s on Saturday, St Eunan’s are favourites to land the U21 title.

“These lads have a brilliant attitude and that’s half the battle,” he said.

“Hopefully they can keep developing, keep progressing and make it onto the senior panel.

“It’s good to have such good competition for places.”
