John Duffy is ‘whistling’ after claiming Bonagee United’s big jackpot

Donegal Referees’ Assessor John Duffy had a perfect 12 to scoop Bonagee United’s coupon jackpot recently.

Bonagee clubman Duffy, a veteran assessor of the local men in black, got 12 out of 12 in the weekly predictions competition.

Remarkably, his selection included seven away wins and he scooped the €990 top prize.

A former referee himself, he acts as a referees’ assessor in Donegal and in the League of Ireland. In 2013, he was appointed as Referee Observer for the FAI Cup final between Sligo Rovers and Drogheda United.
