Donegal broadcaster Andrea Gilligan has been named as this year’s celebrity guest at the North West Breast Cancer Ball.
The Ballyshannon woman is the host of daily news programme ‘Breakfast Briefing’ and Sunday series ‘Between the Lines’ on Newstalk FM.
Ms Gilligan has become a strong and familiar voice on the airwaves nationally and locally. Guests at the upcoming ball can look forward to meeting Andrea and hearing her speak on the night.
Ms Gilligan said it was an honour to receive the invitation to attend the ball, commenting:
“I was absolutely delighted to be asked to attend this year’s event and I’m really honoured to be considered as your guest of honour this year. It’s a lovely honour to be considered alongside some of your previous guests in recent years.”

Money raised from the ball will fund exciting research at Breast Centre North West and support important aspects of community care including an outreach programme for those recovering from breast cancer.
The Breast Cancer Charity Ball is one of the highlights of the social calendar in the North West. It would make a fantastic Christmas night out for any business or social group.

The evening will commence with a drinks reception at 7.15pm after which a four course dinner with wine will be served. With Noel Cunningham as Master of Ceremonies and music from the Bentley Boys, the charity ball promises to be a great night’s craic.
