The Magee connection are all still standing at the SaarLorLux Open in Germany after more excellent wins yesterday.

Sam and Chloe Magee, in the mixed doubles, return to the court today, while Rachael Darragh has games in the women’s doubles and mixed doubles, with Joshua Magee in men’s singles and men’s doubles action.

Seventh seeds Sam and Chloe Magee face Patrick Scheiel and Franziska Volkmann from Germany with a place in the quarter-finals up for grabs.

The Magee siblings began their tournament on Tuesday with a 21-10 21-12 win over German pair Daniel Hess and Stine Susan Kuspert.

Joshua Magee had a super 21-17 20-22 21-11 win over Czech player Jaromir Janacek yesterday having overcome Wolfgang Gnedt 21-19 21-15 on Tuesday. He faces Frenchman Toma Junio Popov this afternoon.

Joshua Magee teams up with Paul Reynolds to take on Raphael Beck and Andreas Heinz in the men’s doubles second round.

Darragh is partnered by Sara Boyle for a women’s doubles clash against the Russian fourth seeds Anastasia Chervyakova and Olga Morozova. In the mixed doubles, playing with Reynolds, there is opposition from Poland’s Pawel Smilowski and Magdalena Swierczynskab.
