Letterkenny’s newest bar is officially open for business following a grand celebration party on Thursday night.

McCafferty’s Bar is the latest venture of Donegal businessman and rally driver Declan Boyle, bringing a new large-scale live music venue to the Lower Main Street.

Donegal Senior GAA Manager Declan Bonner did the honours of cutting the ribbon to open the bar and to mark a new milestone for the McCafferty’s brand. The Anglo Celt cup was raised high with pride at the entrance.

Crowds gathered last night to celebrate the occasion and to explore the interiors which span over three floors.

From the gin and cocktail bar in the basement to the top floor, the building is decked with traditional Irish pub decor and has many great spots to gather with friends and enjoy a drink, music, or sports.

McCafferty’s Letterkenny promises live music seven nights a week, with John Muldowney and Mad Notions performing at last night’s opening party.

The venue is set to be a popular choice this weekend and upcoming party season with many more lively nights already planned.
