Listen: ‘Absolutely incredible’ end to testimonial year for Finn Harps’ Ciaran Coll

Ciaran Coll could hardly have written a better script for his testimonial year.

The Finn Harps ace will celebrate his tenth year at the club at a dinner dance next Saturday night in the Radisson Hotel in Letterkenny – and will do so after helping Harps back into the Premier Division again.

Harps have returned to the top flight at the first attempt and there were amazing scenes last night at the Markets Field, where Harps overcame Limerick 2-0.

“Unbelievable,” said the St Johnston man, who joined Harps at the start of 2009.

“That’s absolutely incredible. Every man out there was 10 out 10, pride in the jersey, tonight.

“We’ve switched the team, changed formations, still kept winning.”

Tickets for Coll’s big bash, priced at €40, are on sale at outlets across the county (Radisson Letterkenny; Heel 2 Toe, Letterkenny; Kernan’s Newtowncunningham; Applegreen, Lifford; Michael Murphy Sports, Letterkenny; and Balor Theatre, Ballybofey) and it’s a dream end to the campaign for the left-back.

He said: “It’s one of the things I wanted for myself as well as the team, to finish off my tenth year on a high.”
