Calvin Bradley deflected the praise to his Red Hughs team-mates after a man of the match display as the Killygordon outfit reached the Ulster junior final.
Having won a first Donegal JFC in 37 years, Red Hughs have kicked on with Bradley in inspired form in the province.
Having hit 2-3 against Con Magees in the quarter-final, Bradley hit 1-5 to sink Emyvale in today’s semi-final in Omagh, setting up a final meeting with Limavady – who overcame Aghadrumsee of Fermanagh in the other semi.
“I’m doing the easy work,” Bradley said.
“The boys are getting it into me. They’re moving it quickly. That’s what we’re doing it in training. They’re bursting their balls, I’m just kicking it over.”
Emyvale led by five points early in the second half, but Red Hughs turned in an excellent second-half display to claim a famous win.
Bradley said: “The second half was brilliant, probably as well as we played all year. We won every kick-out, every breaking ball. It was just a brilliant performance. Even when we went five down, we really upped it. If we perform like that in the next game, whoever it is, we’ll not be scared of them.”
