Did Gaoth Dobhair’s Gavin McBride break a record with rapid black card?

Gaoth Dobhair’s Gavin McBride might have earned an unwanted record in yesterday’s game at Corrigan Park.

McBride replaced Naoise Ó Baoill a minute into added time in Gaoth Dobhair’s 3-11 to 1-13 win over Erin’s Own, Carigin.

But his stay on the field was a short-lived on as he was instantly black carded.

“Gavin McBride might just have broken a record for the shortest sub appearance ever,” Irish News journalist Cahair O’Kane tweeted.

Gaoth Dobhair will face Armagh champions Crossmaglen in two weeks’ time in the semi-final.
