Finn Harps secretary John Campbell says the hard work starts now ahead of the club’s return to the Premier Division.

A 2-0 win over Limerick at the Markets Field on Friday night means that Harps won promotion at the first attempt.

As the head into a ten-team Premier Division, though, the realisation quickly donned on the harsh reality of what lies in wait.

“It never stops and it gets worse now,” Campbell said.

“This is the stage where the hard work is done. The heads are up and everyone looks forward to the work now.

“To bounce back is hard. It’s great for everyone. It’s hard at times, but this is great for the club. To be up there for the 50th anniversary is huge.”
