A Donegal boxing team had a comprehensive win over a Mayo selection on Sunday in Castlebar.

The Donegal selection won by nine bouts to two at the Lough Lannagh Village.

The development squad inter-county meeting saw Donegal come out on top well on the day,

There were first round stoppages for Dunfanaghy’s Bernie McDonagh against Noel Gallagher and for Carndonagh’s Deamn Doherty over Michael Needham.

The day will have given Donegal county coach Dominic McCafferty great encouragement with a number of top-class displays.
