Karl Lacey will remain part of Declan Bonner’s backroom team for 2019.

The Four Masters man indicated he was leaving the coaching staff last month and former Mayo manager Stephen Rochford has since entered the fray.

The 2012 Player of the Year was heavily linked with Roscommon in recent weeks, but after failing to commit to the Rossies’, Lacey has opted to be part of Declan Bonner’s backroom staff.

Thee 2012 All-Ireland winner will be joined by strength and conditioning coach Aaron Kyles.

Anthony McGrath and John McElholm have both left the Donegal set-up.

The news will come as a massive boost for Donegal in 2019.
