Mairtin Kelly Shortlisted for Business Person of The Year

Mairtin Kelly of Kelly’s Centra has been shortlisted for The Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year Award – it has been revealed.

Mairtin Kelly took over the Mountain Top location in 2011 amidst an ongoing recession and since then has taken it from strength to strength.

Taking the business out of receivership, Mairtin has made Kelly’s Centra and Diner a pillar of the community.

Through dedication, passion, commitment and sacrifice it is of no surprise that this recognition has been bestowed upon Mairtin.

There are 85 staff employed in the Mountain Top location and the success of the store continues to grow.

Mr Kelly has led the way while developing his team of people who come from all walks of life. He continuously puts a big emphasis on all employee’s who have been the foundation to the success and growth of his business.

This year alone Mairtin and his team have completely revamped the diner, deli and shop. Relaunched under Circle K, holding multiple customer appreciation days, they have shown continuous support for Action Breast Cancer and The Irish Cancer Society and are the very proud sponsors of Termon GAA – Kelly is all about giving back to the community.

With avid technology, creative design and a range of products to suit all, it is no wonder that Mairtin and his team are always ahead of the curve.

As well as developing his business Mairtin is very adamant in developing his people.

His management team had this to say about him: “Mairtin has led and directed his to be the best versions of ourselves.

“Through his guidance, we all strive to better than yesterday. His commitment and support that he gives to his team, not only allows the business to grow but it people also.
