Colm McFadden feels that St Eunan’s College are ‘going places’ in the MacRory Cup.

Missing a raft of their stellar names, St Eunan’s fell to 0-11 to 0-8 defeat by St Patrick’s of Armagh at Garvaghey yesterday evening.

But the former Donegal star believes his squad is benefitting from a return to the MacRory.

“It’s a building process and we’re learning,” McFadden said.

“I felt we learned a lot and improved from the first day. We didn’t get the result, but we’re moving in the right direction.

“They’re larger to eager and eager to compete. They didn’t lie down when Armagh went six up. They fought back against Carrickmacross after two quick fire goals. Any team you see that character in you can go.places with.”
