Milford school hero McFadden is latest Sports Person of the Week, in association with O’Reilly’s

Loreto Community School, Milford’s Kyle McFadden is our latest Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub Sports Person of the Week, in association with O’Reilly’s.

McFadden took 368 votes – 40 per cent of the 914 votes that were cast.

He saw off competition from Letterkenny rugby player Joe Dunleavy, who made his debut for the Ulster seniors last week.

The goose looked cooked for Loreto Community School in last week’s Donegal Schools U16 final when they trailed Abbey VS in Convoy by seven points.

But the Milford students rallied and McFadden hit five points in a row to help draw them level. A late Liam McGrenaghan point secured a memorable win for Loreto, having been teed up by McFadden’s scores.

Each weekly award winner will receive a kitbag, a jersey and a half-zip, supplied by O’Reilly’s.

O’Reilly’s Sportswear was founded in 2017 by well-known Twin Towns sporting brothers Steven and Martin O’Reilly.
