Chloe and Sam Magee soared to a superb win in the mixed doubles final at the Irish Open in Dublin.
The Raphoe siblings defeated Harley Towler and Emily Westwood in straight sets.
The Magee had their moment of glory after a 21-13 21-12 win at Abbotstown.
It is 11 years now since Chloe Magee – a three-time Olympian – won the women’s doubles crown alongside Huang Big.
Partnered by her brother Sam, this one will have been extra special.
The Magees are coached by another brother, Daniel, and booked a berth in the final thanks to a 21-7 21-9 win over Michael Hoe and Jessica Hopton last night.
They also defeated Samy Corvee and Margot Lambert as well as Carl Christian Mork and Solvar Flaten Jorgensen.
Their win today means Irish success in the Irish Open for the first time in six years.
Last year, the Magee sister-brother duo reached the final only to lose out to Gregory Mairs and Jenny Moore.
But they made no mistake here.
They moved 19-11 in front and staved off the threat of the English pair to take the first game.
And in the second, they were 14-11 ahead when they hit five successive points to take control – and inch closer to that magical mark.
